Turf Trooper Marches On
Autoguide Equipment has announced the introduction of the Turf Trooper, a 60in (150cm) cut triple mower designed and manufactured by the Wiltshire based company and aimed at the domestic and semi-professional market.
The new Turf Trooper is powered by a quiet low revving 13hp electric start Briggs & Stratton engine driving three 7in (18cm) diameter six bladed cylinders and features hydrostatic drive for precise speed control and ease of use.
Autoguide originally produced the Turf Trooper for another UK manufacturer/distributor but has now purchased the rights to manufacture the unit under its own name.
The mower has been brought up to date for 21st century mowing but retains the features of the original design incorporating a number of product improvements enhancing safety and durability. An electric clutch brake to the cylinders has been introduced and all steel body work added to resist accidental damage to the Turf Trooper, the smallest triple mower manufactured anywhere in the world.
Other improvements to the machine include automatic tensioned drive belts,quieter transmission with faster travel speeds and improved ground clearance.
Offering mowing rates of up to two acres an hour, the Turf Trooper sports folding cylinders for transport and storage, high backed adjustable comfort safety seat and electric starting with interlock safety system.
The new Turf Trooper also boasts lighter single rear steering using precision roller chain for ultimate smooth manoeuvrability in the tightest areas.
Belt driven cylinders closely follow the ground contours with pneumatic tyres all round, the large front wheels coping effortlessly with undulating ground conditions. The 12mm-70mm height-of-cut adjustment can be completed in seconds without the use of tools.
With increased cylinder speeds now giving more cuts per metre and the whole unit built on a sturdy fabricated steel chassis with low centre of gravity for improved bank mowing, the new Turf Trooper really does offer easy economical large area lawn mowing right from the start with such a fine finish.
